25.02.2015 08:02 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Representatives of East African nations are meeting today in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi for the Forum of Ministers of Social Development in order to share best practices on fighting poverty and inequality, UN Radio says referring to the UNESCO (UN education and cultural agency) report.
As to the report, this Forum, organized by UNESCO, is the first of its kind.
Reportedly, fifteen countries from the region are expected to attend.
As to the report, the main theme of the Forum is «Global justice» with a focus on sharing national experiences and policies on issues such as poverty reduction and inequality.
Reportedly, the Forum discussions will contribute to advance the United Nations Post-2015 Development Agenda.
Other critical issues to be addressed are youth employment and skills development, population growth and its influence on social development.
Reportedly, the debates and presentations will lead to key policy recommendations and the adoption of a Ministerial Declaration on Feb 26.
