As of last week, the Ukrainian Social Policy Minister Pavlo Rozenko met with the Ambassador of Switzerland to Ukraine Mr. Christian Schoenenberger. The Minister discussed with the Ambassador issues of cooperation expansion in the social sphere, as well as the possibility of implementing new joint initiatives and projects, Government Portal says.
«Despite the difficult economic and military situation, the Ukrainian authorities set on the path of reform,» Rozenko noted at the meeting.
«We have conducted successful negotiations with the IMF and we are actively working on the implementation of the tasks stipulated in the Memorandum,» he said.
Besides, Rozenko also expressed hope that the next plenary week the Verkhovna Rada would support a Government-introduced package of reforms and amendments to the State budget.
Mr. Christian Schoenenberger, in his turn, assured that Switzerland was ready for further dialogue, broad cooperation, providing both humanitarian and financial assistance to Ukraine.
«As compared to previous years, the budget for the provision of technical assistance will be almost doubled - what will give us better opportunities to enhance cooperation and help carrying out the reforms,» he said.
