As of yesterday, the Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko held a phone conversation
with the U. S. Secretary of State John Kerry, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, the parties discussed the situation in Donbas. They expressed concern that the ceasefire regime was violated by the militants, particularly in the area of Debaltseve, despite the signature of the Minsk agreements on February 12.
Reportedly, Poroshenko and Kerry agreed that insufficient access of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission for the monitoring and verification prevents de-escalation and further withdrawal of heavy armament. As to the report, the parties coordinated their positions on the further steps, in particular regarding the draft resolution of the UN Security Council on Ukraine.
