Ukrainian PM gives four days to conciliation commission for developing a priority plan of coal sector reform

On Wednesday, Jan 28, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk met with the representatives of the country
coal mining companies trade unions, Government Portal reports.
As to the report, the meeting was also attended by the Ukrainian Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Volodymyr Demchyshyn and the Ukrainian Minister of Social Policy Pavlo Rozenko.
Reportedly, Yatseniuk told he had instructed the Ukrainian Minister of Energy and Coal Industry to create a conciliation commission on reforming of the country coal sector, which, in particular, is to deal with the social issues of miners. The commission is to include officials from the relevant ministries, experts of the National Energy Regulation Commission, SE «Energorynok», SE «Coal of Ukraine», MPs and the trade unions representatives.
As to the report, Yatseniuk called on the trade unions representatives to join the work of the conciliation commission and submit their proposals on Monday, Feb 2.
Reportedly, the PM identified the issue of immediate repayment of wage arrears to the miners for Dec 2014 as a priority for the conciliation commission.
