UAC to remind market participants about bread prices intensive control

UAC (Ukrainian Antimonopoly Committee) has decided to remind domestic market participants it keeps bread market under continuing control/won’t permit bread sale prices unmotivated raising, reported UAC press-service.
As to report, UAC has been informed of market participants intention to raise bread/bread products sale prices in short time.
As to press-service, UAC has intensified market participants activity control: thus, UAC Sumy regional branch has already started examining case of Romenskiy Foods Articles Plant abuse of its monopoly right (this plant has purchased flour at prices 20% over current market prices from Company Zernotorg, what resulted in Sumy region bread prices growth).
UAC Vinnytsia regional branch is presently examining companies Gaisynkhlib, Barskiy Bakery Plant, Khlibodar and Vinnytsiakhlib activity (these companies have purchased flour at prices 2040% over current market prices from companies Resursna Kompaniya and Agropromprodukt).
Ukrainian Antimonopoly Committee has reminded market participants about fines to be imposed in case if Committee reveals bread producers/sellers current Legislation violations.
As earlier reported, 1 grade flour bread Mar prices have grown in 5 regions, to
UAH1,622,09 per kg, up 0.56.6% as of Feb.
Mar wheat/rye flour bread prices have risen in 4 regions: Ivano-Frankivsk region (up
1.2%, to UAH1,69 per kg), Lviv region (up 5.1%, to UAH1,86 per kg), Poltava region (up 7.1%, to UAH1,50 per kg) and Kherson region (up 1.3%, to UAH1,57 per kg).
Mar highest grade flour bread prices have risen in 5 regions to UAH22,4 per kg, up 0.99.3% against Feb.
Experts estimate domestic bread market annual capacity 44.5 million tons.
