Ukrainian President: It is time to unite around peace and reforms

06.10.2014 16:19 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — Within his last week working visit to Lviv, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko presented the «Strategy of Reforms — 2020» to the community of Lviv, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports. «The Ukrainian government has a solid political will to change the country,» the Head of State said and expressed belief that it was necessary to involve the society in the reformation of the country. «It cannot be the reform of the President, Presidential Administration, party or Government. It is the reform of all of us. The given strategy is only a backbone. We must grow „muscles“ together. I think we will succeed,» Petro Poroshenko emphasized in his speech in Lviv National University. The Head of State mentioned main reforms, particularly judicial, anti-corruption and health-care reform. «Corruption is the strongest ally of militants, terrorists and invaders,» the President said expressing hope that on October 7, the Verkhovna Rada would adopt a package of anti-corruption laws offered by the Head of State. As to report, Poroshenko urged all political parties to have common goals in their pre-election struggle. «These goals are the building of successful, democratic and European Ukraine and restoration of peace on our land. We cannot afford discord, because today it can result in negative consequences for the country. It is time to unite around peace and reforms,» Petro Poroshenko said.
