31.07.2014 14:47 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As to President Petro Poroshenko Press Office, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko took part in the extraordinary session of Verkhovna Rada, which today was considering a number of issues important for the country, in particular the vote of confidence to the Cabinet of Ministers, and government proposals on amendments to the state budget and Tax Code, which will increase funding for the Armed Forces.
The President appreciated the decision adopted by Parliament. «I’m happy with this result of our combined efforts. The constitutional majority of people’s deputies voted for necessary decisions. This clearly confirms that the attitude of the deputies to Ukraine, Ukrainian people, Ukrainian army is independent of whether the coalition in parliament exists or not», he said.
The Head of State also named as crucial the decisions on ratification of agreement with the Netherlands on the establishment of international mission to protect the investigation into the circumstances of «Malaysia Airlines» aircraft crash, and agreement with Australia on sending Australian staff to Ukraine to conduct investigation. These agreements will ensure transparent and secure work of international experts, «which is extremely important for Ukraine», he said.
Petro Poroshenko said that the Armed Forces are successfully advancing in all directions. «Today we provided a strong support for our army, and it is the key to our common victory. We have demonstrated that Ukrainian people and Parliament may be united, and there is no doubt that this unity will be lasting», he said.
«Extraordinary elections should not and will not interfere in our common work», said Petro Poroshenko, addressing the people’s deputies.
«Our consolidating interest is united European Ukraine. Great goal inspires great deeds. The willingness of President, Government, and, as demonstrated today, of Verkhovna Rada for teamwork is apparent,» emphasized Poroshenko.
