Savinykh suggests assembling Belarusian harvesters in Turkey
11.07.2014 17:29 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
The assembly production of Belarusian harvesters in Turkey is quite promising, Belarus Radio reports as quoting the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Turkey Andrei Savinykh.
As to Andrei Savinykh, the two countries’ bilateral trade has exceeded $500 million; however there is always room for improvement. «Turkey is a very dynamically developing economy, over a trillion dollars in purchasing power parity,» he admitted.
The Belarusian Ambassador drew attention to the fact that Turkey manufactures goods that are also produced in Belarus; however, there are sectors where the two countries complement each other economically.
«One of the most promising cooperation avenues is assembly production of Belarusian harvesters in Turkey. We are now trying to bring together Gomselmash and one of Turkey’s leading producers of agricultural machines in order to set up such an assembly production in Turkey. We will see whether it will work or not in the near future,» he said.
