Olexandr Shlapak: IMF mission is due to visit Ukraine in June

An IMF mission is planned to arrive to Ukraine in June, Government Portal says referring to the Ukrainian Finance Minister Olexandr Shlapak May 12 briefing report made at the House of Government.
«The IMF assessment mission will arrive here in June. It is then we will discuss implementation of the budget and GDP assessment,» the Finance Minister stressed.
He noted the IMF had forecast reducing of real GDP in Ukraine by 5% in 2014. The Finance Ministry agrees with this number of the International Monetary Fund.
Moreover, the Finance Minister emphasized this issue would be raised during the negotiation with the IMF mission members in June during their due visit to Ukraine.
He added no reconsidering of the State Budget expenditures is planned so far.
Also, Olexandr Shlapak informed the Government so far didn’t start to use the financial means of the first tranche given by the International Monetary Fund to Ukraine in the amount of USD 3.2 billion on May 7.
«We haven’t lost a cent out of the funds transferred to the budget of our country,» he said and explained that according to the calculations the loan financial means are enough to pay off the Ukraine’s international obligations.
