Arbuzov: Agrarian sector to preserve leading positions in State Budget filling
14.02.2014 09:54 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
In 2014 the agroindustrial complex will preserve the leading positions with regards to filling of the State Budget and flows of foreign currency to Ukraine, the acting Prime Minister of Ukraine Serhiy Arbuzov told yesterday, Government Portal reports.
«In the current year we expect croppage in the amount of over 62 million tons which almost equals last year’s record yield. At the same time the world conjuncture gives all grounds to hope for correction of prices for grain crops towards increasing. It means on the results of the year the agrarian sector has all the opportunities to preserve the leading positions in filling the State Budget and flows of currency earnings to Ukraine,» the acting Prime Minister stressed.
According to Serhiy Arbuzov, despite thaw the present state of winter crops is satisfactory.
In whole, the acting head of the Government considers the winter weather conditions will facilitate good yield this year.
In this connection he stressed on the need to provide agrarians with equipment, fuel and lubricant materials, plant protective means and fertilizers targeting to prepare to the spring field works.
«Reducing of prices for gas has to significantly influence the price of fertilizers and facilitate resuming of work of chemical plants. In this year the Government plans to buy through the Agrarian fund around 60 thousand tons of fertilizers. I hope their price won’t exceed UAH 3360 per ton,» S. Arbuzov added.
The acting Prime Minister noted that the Government was working on drawing of additional funds from American Eximbank to Ukragroleasing company aiming to provide the agrarians with available equipment.
Assessing export prospects of products of the agrarian industrial complex Serhiy Arbuzov noted that in the current year Ukraine would enlarge the geography of its sales markets.
According to him, in 2014 Ukrainian export will stir up in the Asian direction, in particular on the new for the national agrarians markets of Japan, South Korea and China.
