18.12.2013 11:39 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
"Gas arrangements are the result of joint Ukrainian-Russian work," the Ukrainian President admitted yesterday during his meeting with President of Russia Vladimir Putin in Moscow, President Viktor Yanukovych Press Office reports.
«Price setting is the product of our joint work. Speaking of the prospective, we must think in what way we should organize the work to create motivations for the both sides. I mean the creation of conditions for transparent work of Ukrainian GTS,» Yanukovych said.
In his turn, President of Russia Vladimir Putin informed that «Gazprom» and NJSC «Naftogaz» had signed a supplement to the existing agreement that enabled «Gazprom» to sell gas to Ukraine for 268,5 USD per 1000 cubic meters.
«We think that it is a temporary decision. I mean, the long-term arrangements should and will be achieved. It relates to both gas supply to Ukraine and uninterrupted transit to Europe,» Vladimir Putin said.
He also added that for the purpose of supporting the Ukrainian budget, the Russian government had made a decision to invest part of the National Welfare Fund, to the tune of 15 billion USD, in Ukrainian government securities. Russian President also added that the parties had not discussed the accession of Ukraine to the Customs Union.
