President: Development of strategic relations with China is priority of Ukrainian foreign policy

Broadening of strategic partnership with China is the priority of Ukrainian foreign policy. It was stated by the President in the course of the last week meeting with Premier of the State Council of China Li Keqiang, President Viktor Yanukovych Press Office reports.
«Development of partnership strategic relations between Ukraine and China is the priority of our foreign policy,» the Head of State said at the beginning of the meeting. According to him, the given meeting is a great opportunity to discuss the issue of broadening relations of strategic partnership between the countries.
«I am content with intensification of Ukrainian-Chinese relations and successful development of bilateral dialogue,» the President added.
Viktor Yanukovych invited Li Keqiang to visit Ukraine.
In his turn, Premier of the State Council of China Li Keqiang noted that China and Ukraine were good friends and partners and that there was a comprehensive strategic cooperation between them. He also expressed an opinion that the visit of Ukrainian President to China and signature of a series of bilateral documents had laid a good foundation for the future development of relations between the two states. «You pay a lot of attention to the development of relations with China. I think that your visit has already achieved great success,» Li Keqiang emphasized.
«You have brought Ukrainian-Chinese relations to a new stage,» he added.
Li Keqiang accepted the invitation of Viktor Yanukovych to visit Ukraine. «Foreign offices of the two states should begin the discussion of the details of the future visit,» he said.
In the course of the meeting, the parties have also discussed the intensification of cooperation in aviation, agriculture, shipbuilding, financial sphere, banking system and the creation of technology parks. Particular attention has been paid to cooperation in humanitarian sphere.
Also, the parties have discussed the development of the Great Silk Road.
