Leonid Kozhara attends 37th meeting of Trilateral Commission

On October 27, OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Kozhara took part in the 37th European Meeting of the Trilateral Commission in Krakow (Poland), Government Portal says referring to Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Prysyazhniuk report.
The relations between Ukraine and the EU, including preparation for signing of the Association Agreement with Ukraine at the Vilnius Eastern Partnership Summit, were on agenda of the Krakow Trilateral Commission Meeting.
Leonid Kozhara informed the participants about the efforts of Ukraine aimed at creating favorable conditions for signing of the Association Agreement with the EU, as well as the progress achieved so far to this end.
The Ukrainian Foreign Minister said that signing of the Association Agreement would contribute to further successful implementation by the Ukrainian authorities of political, economic, legal and social reforms.
Leonid Kozhara also emphasized that the Association Agreement would have far-reaching positive effects for the overall European process, and both Ukraine and the EU bear mutual responsibility for concluding of this important agreement.
In the framework of the Trilateral Commission Meeting, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine met with former President of Poland Aleksander Kwasniewski.
It is to be reminded, Trilateral Commission is an international organization consisting of representatives of North America, Western Europe and Asia (Japan and South Korea); its official purpose is discussion and finding of solutions to the global problems. Trilateral Commission was formed in 1973.
