Government created new wildlife sanctuary and increased existing ones in Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Volyn, Kherson and Cherkasy regions

The Government has increased the area of nature preserve fund in Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Kherson and Cherkasy regions. There have been created a new reserve in Dnipropetrovsk region with an area of 2819 ha and a hydrological reserve Boloto Perevid in Kyiv and Solyane Lake in Kherson regions, Government Portal reports referring to Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Olexandr Vilkul.
A new area conservancy in Pavlograd zone of Dnipropetrovsk region is a valuable landscape complex which is located between the Samara and the Vovcha rivers. The reserve comprisesNovomoskovske forestry (732.5 ha), Pavlograd forestry (787.5 ha) and lands of public property (1299 ha).
Hydrological reserve Boloto Perevid (561 ha) was created in Zgurivskyi zone of Kyiv region and plays a significant role in regulating of water regime of the Perevid, the Uday and the Sula rivers. In Kherson region there was set up Solyane Lake natural park (120 ha) that possesses rare healing properties for people.
In Volyn region the Bayrak park was enlarged almost threefold and in Poltava region Korolenkodacha preserve was increased from 79.1 to 112.8 ha.
«For resuming and preserving of natural complexes it proves necessary to strictly monitor implementation of environmental programs. Including increasing of areas of nature reserves and forests which are „green lungs» of Ukraine," Olexandr Vilkul told.
