Azarov: Ukraine intends to become observer at Customs Union

Ukraine intends to get observer status in the Customs Union, Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov told a press conference, ForUm correspondent reports.
«We are holding negotiations, under which Ukraine will become an observer at the Customs Union. We will create a corresponding office. And our representative will not be involved in making decision, but will express our position. Ukraine will know about all made decisions in advance,» he said.
According to the head of the government, such form of cooperation will allow Ukraine to correct decisions that will directly relate to the economy of our country.
The Prime Minister also reminded that the trade turnover between Ukraine and the Russian Federation amounts to 65 billion dollar and with the EU to 50 billion dollar.
