Grodno trade fair to gather craftsmen from Belarus, Lithuania, Poland

A trading show Kaziuki 2013 in Grodno will gather craftsmen from Belarus, Lithuania and Poland on 4 March, Belarus Radio reports.
An exhibition that is to take place at Sovetskaya Street of the town will display unique arts and crafts made of leather, beads, steel, wood, plastic and other materials. The expo will include improvised workshops and master-classes.
Festive mood will be created by cultural oblast collectives: people’s ensemble of the Belarusian song and dance Neman, the ensemble Gostinets, the Lithuania music ensemble Ruta, creative companies Narvyanki, Sibirak and others.
Kaziuki expo is held once a year in Grodno to honor the memory of saint patron of the youth, masters and craftsmen, Saint Casimir. He was a grandson of Jagiello and son of King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania Casimir IV. He lived a short life and died on 4 March 1484. His remnants were taken from Grodno to Vilnius. In 1604 Casimir was canonized. Today his relics are kept at the Cathedral of Vilnius. Lithuania also hosts an annual trade fair among craftsmen on 4 March.
