IMF to inform about results of mission work in Kyiv following February 11
05.02.2013 10:23 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Director of the IMF External Relations Department Jerry Rice has said about this, answering a question about what the IMF Executive Board expects to see in a report of the IMF Mission in Kyiv, NRCU reports.
«The IMF Mission is in Kyiv now for discussion of general economic policy issues, on which a new program may be based. And we will inform mass media about results of this mission, which, as expected, will complete its work on February 11,» Gerry Rice has said.
Last December, the term expired of Ukraines cooperation program with the IMF, which operated since July 2010 and was designated for 2.5 years. It envisaged allocation of USD 15.15 billion to Ukraine. Ukraine received the first IMF tranche to the amount of USD 1.89 billion immediately following the programs approval. On December 22, 2010, the IMF took a decision about allocation of the second tranche at USD 1.5 billion to Ukraine. However, since 2011, the country could not receive a single tranche due to non-fulfillment, primarily, of the IMF requirement on raising gas and heating rates for population.
