Annual Premier Food Industry Event, 19th IFE China

From 26 -28 June, South China’s largest B2B fair for food industry — IFE China — will be held at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou. IFE China, is a member of the global food and hospitality shows organized by Informa — the largest event organizer in the world. It is also strongly supported by China’sauthoritative institutions like China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuffs and Native Produce and China Food Industry Association.

Together with the 28th China (Guangzhou) International Health Industry Expo (IHE China), IFE China exhibitors presented their products in the 76,000sqm show floor in 2018, while there will be nearly 2,000 exhibitors from 40 countries showing up in the 2019 edition.

40 Countries of Brands Taking the «Policy Express» to Speed up the South Chinese Market

IFE China 2019 is expecting unprecedented presence of international brands and pavilions from nearly 40 countries and regions. Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Brazil, South Africa pavilions will exhibit in the event for the first time.

«Our exhibitors will bring in local and specialty food from the Middle East, such as seafood, dates and nuts,» said Mr. Arafat, the head of the Middle East Pavilion. «We have confidence in Chinese food market due to the country’s strong food consumption and policy support from the government.»

According to the report from the China Chamber of Commerce of Foodstuffs and Native Produce, the amount of imported food has increased by 15.2 times in the past 20 years. The annual market size will exceed 500 billion yuan in 2019.

Exhibitors also sensed more potential opportunity for Guangzhou — venue of IFE China. Besides it’s strategic location as an import and export hub in South China, the Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area which raise a series of initiatives to facilitate logistics, internationalization and industrial upgrade of this world class city cluster has given Guangzhou a prominent role in China’s economic growth. This area covers 10 trillion GDP and 70 million people and is a key consumption market for imported food in China.

Featured Sectors Creating Unique Synergy

In 2019 IFE China has four featured sectors including grains and oil, high-end water, functional food and food processing and packing equipment. These niche sectors are unique in IFE China to present the latest trends with the support of specific special events or competitions.

For grains and oil sector, this year’s highlighted product will be the rice bran oil which is featured by The International Conference on Rice Bran Oil (ICRBO), an event which will gather more than 500 professionalism worldwide.

The growth of the high-end consumer groups leads to new opportunities that benefit China’s high-end drinking water market. Besides the high-end water sector, the event will concurrently hold the 5th Guangzhou International Water Tasting Competition, which is organized by The Fine Water Society and will gather over 100 high-end water brands from worldwide to compete for three categories of awards.
