Ukraine harvests 57.6 mln tonnes of grain in 2025 – Economy Ministry

30.12.2025 09:21 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — Ukraine has harvested 57.6 million metric tonnes of grain and pulses as of Dec. 25, 2025, covering 94.1% of the forecast area, according to operational data released by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.

The average yield stood at 5.25 tonnes per hectare. Harvesting was fully completed in the Zaporizhzhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Mykolaiv and Khmelnytskyi regions, while Odesa region had harvested 99.8% of its projected area.

Chernihiv region led the country in total grain output with 5.5 million tonnes, followed by Vinnytsia (5.2 million tonnes) and Khmelnytskyi (4.9 million tonnes). Kyiv, Poltava and Odesa regions each produced more than 4 million tonnes.

Khmelnytskyi region recorded the highest average yield at 8.51 tonnes per hectare, while yields were lowest in Kherson region at 1.27 tonnes per hectare, the data showed.

Wheat harvesting was almost complete, with 5.05 million hectares harvested, or 98.4% of the forecast area. Total wheat output reached 23 million tonnes, with an average yield of 4.55 tonnes per hectare. Compared with last year, the harvested wheat area increased by 3.4%, or 167,500 hectares.

Corn harvesting was still ongoing, with 27.5 million tonnes collected from 87.5% of the forecast area. Barley output reached 5.4 million tonnes, while peas production totalled 672,500 tonnes, according to the ministry.
