Agrarian Ministry shortened bees poisoning inspections period approval for unscheduled inspections

As of this week, the Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Foods has shortened, from a few weeks down to just one day, the current deadline period for the approval of unscheduled inspections made by the inspectors of the Ukrainian State Service for Foods Safety and Consumer Protection in the case of the bees’ poisoning, Ukrinform says referring to Director General of the Directorate for Food Safety and Quality Mykola Moroz report.
«Since now on, in the case of poisoning of bees with pesticides, the territorial bodies of the Ukrainian State Service for Foods Safety and Consumer Protection must send their electronic requests to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Foods, while simultaneously informing the central apparatus of the State Service. At same time, the official documents are to pass through all stages of approval within the Ministry. This allows us to conduct the verification procedure as quickly and effectively as possible,» Moroz admits.
As to the report, the new rules allow to reduce the deadline period of the unscheduled inspections’ approval from previous several weeks down to just one day. It is to be admitted, further on, the approvals will be given even within just a few hours. As to Moroz, this is one of the directions of the Ministry work aimed at protecting the environment from the plant protection products’ misuse. Another direction is the information work carried out by the Ministry representatives with the domestic agrarians and beekeepers to carry out their work within compliance with the current legislation requirements.
