2018 autumn sowing: agrarians have sown winter grains/leguminous crops at almost 80% total areas

As of this year Oct 9, Ukrainian agrarians have sown their winter grains/leguminous crops at 5.7 million ha (or 79% of total areas to be sown - 7.2 million ha), Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reports.
Thus, agrarians have already sown winter wheat at 5.0 million (or 82% total planned 6.2 million ha); rye - 109,000 ha (or 74% total planned 147,000 ha); winter barley - 511,000 ha (or 59% total planned 872,000 ha); winter rape - 993,000 ha (or 112% of total planned 888,000 ha).
In meanwhile, agrarians continue harvesting campaign; thus, as of this year Oct 9, agrarians have already threshed 45.3 million grains/leguminous crops at 11.8 million ha (79%), average yield - 38.5 metric centners per ha.
Thus, agrarians have harvested 34.3 million tons early grains/leguminous crops at 9.9 million ha, average yield - 34.8 metric centners per ha;
maize - 10.4 million tons at 1.7 million ha (37%), average yield - 62.2 metric centners per ha;
buckwheat - 121,000 tons at 97,000 ha (90%), average yield - 12.4 metric centners per ha; millet - 72,000 tons at 46,000 ha (89%), average yield - 15.5 metric centners per ha.
Also, as of this year Oct 9, agrarians have threshed 11.0 million tons sunseeds at 5.0 million ha (83%), average yield - 22.0 metric centners per ha; 2.7 million tons soybeans at 1.1 million ha (63%), average yield - 25.1 metric centners per ha; 2.7 million tons rape at 1 million ha, average yield - 26.1 metric centners per ha.
