Ukraine interested in Saudi Arabian investments attracting

01.11.2017 19:13 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As of today, while on a official visit to Saudi Arabia, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has held negotiations with Managing Director of the Public Investment Fund of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Yasir bin Othman Al-Rumayyan, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports. As to the report, within the meeting, the parties discussed the opportunity of expanding the investment cooperation between Ukraine and Saudi Arabia. «We welcome the participation of Saudi public and private capital in the implementation of attractive and mutually beneficial projects on the territory of Ukraine, in particular in such areas as aircraft engineering, agriculture, shipbuilding, defense industry, energy, tourism and recreation infrastructure, as well as in the process of privatization in our country,» Poroshenko emphasized. As to the report, Poroshenko informed the Saudi party on the progress of the Ukrainian reforms and the measures aimed at improving the business climate and increasing the investment attractiveness of Ukraine. He also invited Saudi companies to take part within the Ukrainian privatization. In his turn, Yasir bin Othman Al-Rumayyan informed on the activity of the Public Investment Fund within the implementation of the ambitious plan of economic reforms «Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030» aimed to reduce the Kingdom dependence on oil revenues. As of 2017, the assets of the fund amount to US$160 milliard.
