Poroshenko met with President of Australian Parliament Senate

As of today, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko met with President of the Senate of the Parliament of Australia Stephen Parry, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, the Ukrainian President has noted Australian unwavering support for the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine and condemnation of the Russian aggression against Ukraine. In this context, the President thanked Australia for the continuation of sanctions against the aggressor and support in the issues related to the human rights protection in the occupied Crimea.
As to the report, the parties noted the efficiency of the joint investigation team for the MH17 tragedy and emphasized the inevitability of punishment for all those involved in this tragedy.
Reportedly, a particular attention was paid to the strengthening of inter-parliamentary cooperation between the two states. In this regard, the President of Ukraine praised the formation of a renewed Australia-Ukraine friendship group in the Australian Parliament.
As to the report, the parties have also discussed preparations for the next Invictus Games, which will take place within 2018 in Sydney, Australia.
