PM: Minimum wage raising to UAH3,200 does not require additional money emission and will not lead to inflation
04.11.2016 17:31 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of today, while speaking within the «Hour of Questions to the Government» at the Verkhovna Rada, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman has said raising of the Ukrainian minimum wage to UAH3,200 is balanced and it does not require additional emission of money, neither will it lead to inflation, Government Portal reports.
«I want to assure the Ukrainians that the decision to raise the wage to UAH3,200 is balanced and so it will not lead to any unpredicted inflation development in our country,» the PM stressed.
«This step will be assured by the correct estimation of the Ukrainian employees’ work cost, by salaries’ unshadowing, and by the justice which we are restoring, with the country economic situation and the budget possibilities taken into cosnisderation,» he said.
«When I have repeatedly said that the Government is working to make suggestions on fair compensation of Ukrainian workers, it was a promise, and today we performed it,» he said.
As to the report, Groisman has also admitted the Government
is working to create a fair pension system and so since this year Dec 1 the Ukrainian minimum pension will be grown.
In this context, the Prime Minister has warned the MPs and politicians from intimidating the Ukrainian citizens or leading them into despair.
