Wheat export prices decreased again
21.02.2020 17:23 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
In the Black Sea region, wheat prices (12.5%) fell again in the reporting week. The decrease amounted to USD24/t. Prices fell due to increased competition in export markets and forecasts of a good harvest in the region. At the same time, decline was limited by strengthening of quotations on global exchanges and deterring grain sales by producers in anticipation of higher prices. By the middle of the current calendar week, wheat prices in the Black Sea region were at the level of USD214220/t, FOB for deliveries in March/April. In Ukraine, 12.5% wheat export prices have declined by USD4/t and by the end of the reporting period were within USD214218/t, FOB, Black sea port, Mar/Apr shipments. Prices for wheat (11.5%) have decreased by USD4/t to USD213216/t, FOB. Feed wheat prices have declined by USD2/t and reached level of USD208213/t, FOB.
