UkraineInvest becomes key tool within work with investors within Ukraine
25.09.2017 16:19 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of today, while visiting the UkraineInvest office and having got acquainted with the results of its functioning, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman has said that the UkraineInvest, established with the Cabinet assistance, become a reliable component and one of the key tools designed to ensure interaction with world leading companies and to leverage financial and technological resources to Ukraine, Government Portal reports.
«I badly needed such an institution as the Investment Promotion Office. We have gathered an efficient team led by Danylo Bilak. We have introduced the position of Government Commissioner for Investments, which is occupied by First Deputy Finance Minister Oksana Markarova, as well as set up an interagency working group dealing with deregulation, studying problems businesses face, forming relevant business climate,» Groisman
said.
He emphasized that work of the UkraineInvest each structure is aimed at creating favorable business climate, making «business feel comfortably.»
«Certainly, we are to carry out a judicial reform, to bring about a number of changes, however, we are well aware of what projects we implement, what investment we accompany, aware of urgent problems. We do our job, the Office do their job to promote business,» the Head of Government stressed.
In his turn, Director of the Office Danylo Bilak highlighted that his Office had launched full operation starting Jan 2017, and over this period had already demonstrated significant results. Thus, the volume of additional investment raised as a result of activities of those investors already working within Ukraine is estimated at about US$600 million, and by the end of the year, this figure can make up US$1 milliard.
