Plans to assemble Belarusian tractors within Sudan

Belarus is looking into the ways to start assembling Belarusian tractors in Sudan, Belarus Ambassador to Egypt with concurrent accreditation to Sudan Sergei Rachkov told the media within the visit of the Sudanese delegation to the Minsk Tractor Plant, Belarus Radio reports.
«We are mulling over an idea of setting up a joint plant to assemble Belarusian tractors in Sudan. We hope the project will be implemented in the near future. The supplies of tractors to the country are on the increase. We, however, are looking for options to increase the exports significantly. The Sudanese demand for this type of equipment is big,» Rachkov admitted.
As to him, Sudan can be used as the venue for Belarusian goods to reach the neighboring countries and the entire African continent. The ambassador named the participation in the extraction of commercial minerals in Sudan as another promising area of cooperation.
