Baranovskiy doesn’t exclude 2005 grain crop forecasts worsening due to unfavorable weather translated

As Oleksandr Baranovskiy,
Minister of Agrarian Policy has declared on Thu evening press-conference, he
doesn’t exclude 2005 grain crop forecasts worsening in case unfavorable
climatic conditions (in part. rains) remain.
«Weather conditions can much change situation,» said
Baranovskiy.
Baranovskiy added presently some regions ground moisture
content much exceeds necessary norm.
«In some regions total grain group plants are under water;
in Vinnytsia, Kmelnytskiy, Zhytomyr regions rain falls have reached 60 ml,» said Minister.
Baranovskiy stated he is worried about winter grains
condition possible worsening.
Simultaneously Minister stressed that Ministry of Agrarian
Policy hasn’t changed its
2005 grain crop forecast (37 million tons).
As earlier reported, Ministry of Agrarian Policy forecasts
2005 grain crop to reach 37.4 million tons, down against 2004.
2004 grain crop totaled 41.809 million tons (wheat 17.5 million tons).
Domestic market food grain annual requirement is " 6–7 million tons.
