Ministry of Agrarian Policy: agrarians have 2010 spring sowing 50% finances

Ministry of Agrarian Policy experts say agricultural companies have in total UAH12 milliard (50% necessary) financial means for this year spring field works complex.
«Agricultural companies financial resources total requirement for spring field works exceeds UAH24 milliard. In our opinion, agricultural producers have already about UAH12 milliard,» declared Yuriy Luzan, First Deputy Minister of Ministry of Agrarian Policy.
Luzan admitted agricultural companies have also some goods resources (i.e. agricultural products) which can be sold to obtain part finances necessary for sowing campaign.
Besides, Luzan made it known Ministry of Agrarian Policy also expects commercial banks will allot about UAH5 milliard for spring sowing campaign.
«Up to agricultural producers applications, we expect country banking system will allot about UAH5 milliard credits for spring field works, exclusively for spring field works,» stated Luzan.
He made it known presently Ministry of Agrarian Policy conducts negotiations with banks on agricultural producers crediting activation. Besides, Luzan admitted now banks give credits to agrarians at very high interest rates. He also said country Agrarian-Industrial Complex companies have already attracted about UAH60 mn credits at 2030% yearly interest rates.
As to Luzan, Ministry of Agrarian Policy hopes Ukraine 2010 State budget will stipulate allocation of about UAH2 milliard for country Agrarian-Industrial Complex companies credits partial cheapening, what will prompt commercial banks to activate agrarians crediting.
Besides, First Deputy Minister made it known Agrarian Fund is going to start grains forward purchases in near future, thus making it possible for agrarians to receive in total about UAH1 milliard for their grains.
