Cabinet to allocate UAH5 mn compensation to disaster affected agrarians

18.06.2009 11:50 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — On its Jun 13/09 extraordinary meeting, Ukrainian Government has adopted Decree targeted at Volyn region natural disaster aftereffects liquidation.

As to Decree, UAH5 mn will be allocated on gratuitous basis from State budget for agricultural companies/farm economies disaster aftereffects partial compensation. Compensation has been calculated on UAH1,500 per 1 ha basis.

Besides, Premier Yuliya Tymoshenko has commissioned State Taxation Administration to reimburse VAT to disaster struck agricultural companies/farm economies.

Also, Tymoshenko has commissioned Emergency Minister Volodymyr Shandra to prepare until Jun 17/09 general report on situation/losses in all regions which have been affected with disaster within last few days.
