02.03.2004 11:20 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
First all-Ukrainian conference Problems of market relations’ forming within Ukrainian Agrarian-Industrial Complex has gathered about 330 specialists from 210 companies, including about 70 mass-media correspondents. The conference’s functioning was covered by 8 TV channels, 7 news agencies and 33 printed publications. That was the first Ukrainian conference to have been organized in the form of discussion between lecturers and audience, what was especially appreciated by majority of participants, since they could put questions directly to the management of the government’s agrarian block, to heads of branch associations and experts of separate branches. Within the first day in the conference’s work participated Ivan Kyrylenko, Vice-Premier for Agrarian-Industrial Complex, Myckola Bezuglyi, First Deputy Minister of Agricultural Policy of Ukraine, Leonid Kozachenko, Head of Ukrainian Agrarian Confederation, Wolodymyr Klymenko, Vice-President of Ukrainian Grain Association, Petro Kapshuk, Deputy Director of Ukroliyaprom Association, Petro Borysiuk, Director of National Sugar Producers’ Association and others. Within the second conference’s working day problems of Ukraine’s joining the WTO, landowners’ crediting, consulting and insurance were discussed. Main conference’s goal was drawing the public attention to the agrarian market’s problems as well as setting up of dialogue between its participants and management of Ukrainian Agrarian-Industrial Complex. Judging upon numerous positive responses of conference’s participants, organizers consider the conference to have been a success and are going to carry out similar actions traditionally.
