Railroad grain transportation drop by 8% to 3.9 million tons in January-June

Grain and grind products transportation by railroad drop by 8% in January-June to 3.9 million tons against January-June 2006, reported the State’s Statistic Committee. Besides, 3.7 million tons of chemical and mineral fertilizers were transported by rail in January-June, which is 14.9% more compared with the same period last year. Overall January-June railroad transportation of cargos rose by 11.2% to 247.6 million against 2006. As to Agro Perspective earlier report, in January-May grain and grid products transportation comprised 3.4 million tons.
