Ukrainian sugar beets crop 8.45 million tons

07.11.2019 20:04 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As to the Ukrainian regions’ operative data, as of this year Nov 6, Ukrainian agrarians have got 8.448 million tons sugar beets. As to the data, the sugar beets have been harvested at 192,000 ha, average yield - 440 metric centners per ha (down against last year similar 490 metric centners per ha). It is to be admitted, this year the agrarians are going to harvest sugar beets at total 220,000 ha. It is to be reminded, as of last year Nov 6, the agrarians had got 11.642 million tons sugar beets at 237,000 ha. It is to be admitted, within this MY, the sugar beets will be processed by 32 sugar plants (down against last MY 42 sugar plants). In meanwhile, the Ukrainian National Association of Sugar Producers has worsened its Ukrainian sugar output 2019/20 MY sugar output forecast down to 1.1–1.2 million tons. It is to be reminded, within 2018/19 MY, Ukrainian sugar plants had produced 1.82 million tons sugar. As of 2018, Ukrainian sugar beets output totaled 13.649 million tons (average yield - 497.8 metric centners per ha).
