Astarta reduces sugar sales 12%

As of 2019 Jan-Sept, Astarta-Kyiv agroindustrial holding, Ukrainian sugar biggest producer, has reduced its sugar sales to 239,880 tons, down 12% against 2018 similar, Ukrainian National Association of Sugar Producers says referring to the Warsw Exchange website report.
As to the report, as of 2019 Q3, Astarta-Kyiv has declined its sugar sales to 86,530 tons, down 2% against 2018 Q3.
It is to be admitted, as of this year Oct, Astarta-Kyiv has already harvested its sugar beets at 59% of total planned areas to be harvested at.
It is to be noted, Astarta-Kyiv is a vertically integrated agro-industrial holding that operates within Poltava, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskiy, Ternopil, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, Cherkasy and Kharkiv regions. The holding consists of eight sugar plants, farm economies having a total 250,000 ha land bank and dairy farms. As of 2014, the holding commissioned a soybeans’ processing plant and a biogas complex within Poltava region.
