After last year draught, Kenya resumed sugar output
11.12.2018 18:11 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
Within this year Jan-Sept Kenya has grown its sugar output to 411,567 tons, up 45% against last year similar 284,036 tons, Ukrainian National Association of Sugar Producers says referring to the Business Daily report.
In the monthly report of the Sugar Department, it is indicated that sugar produced in the period from January to October increased from last year’s 284,036 to 411,567 tons.
«Within this year 9 months, Kenya sugar output has boosted to 411,567 tons, up against last year similar 284,036 tons, what means an impressive 45% growth,» the report reads.
«It is a good indicator to prove that the industry is recovering from the last year drought which caused a domestic sugar output decline,» the report says.
