«The Ukrainian apples’ export within the 2017/18 MY has been the highest w within the past five years, with 40.9 thousand tonnes apples having been shipped (up 3.2 times against 2016/17 MY). The export to the EU amounted to 11,632.5 tonnes. Among the largest importers are Austria, Hungary and Sweden,» the report reads.
As to the report, within 2017, Ukraine also exported 40,000 tonnes of berries to the EU.
The leaders of the Ukrainian berry export were blueberries (44% of total exports of berries) and raspberries (29%), while the largest importing countries were the Netherlands, Austria and the United Kingdom.
