This year, the Farm Economy Tetiana 2011 (Kyiv region) has widened its sugar beet sown areas to 300 ha, up against last year 178 ha, Ukrainian National Association of Sugar Producers says referring to Olexander Sivogorlo, Tetiana 2011 Chief Agronomist, report.
«This year there is a market tendency towards sugar export - what has resulted in domestic sugar offer making a pressure upon domestic sugar prices,» he admits.
It is to be admitted, Tetiana 2011 has been cooperating on a toll-free scheme with Zgurivka Sugar Plant for several years already.
«The sugar has always been considered a reliable currency, and so we grow the sugar beet due to the fact that today it is a highly profitable culture - but there are now just a few companies within Ukraine which are engaged in the sugar beet cultivation as it is very expansive. I can say, the sugar beet is a culture of higher aerobatics, since it does not forgive any technological mistakes within its growing process. Not everyone succeeds, and not everyone can invest into the sugar beet cultivatioin,» Chief Agronomist admits.
It is to be admitted, the Farm Economy Tetiana 2011 is located within the Zgurivskiy district of the Kyiv region. The Farm is engaged within plant growing and goats breeding. Its owns in total 2,145 ha processed lands.
