Ukrainian green energy receives EUR1.1 milliard investments

Within last 3 years, over EUR1.1 milliard have been invested into the Ukrainian alternative energy projects, Interfax-Ukraine says referring to the Ukrainian State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving report.
«The positive dynamics of the domestic new renewable energy capacities’ launching shows that those legislative incentives which the Ukrainian government, the Parliament, the State Agency for Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving and the experts had elaborated, are now efficiently working. So, within three last years, over EUR1.1 milliard have been invested into the Ukrainian green projects,» Serghiy Savchuk, Agency Head, has said.
As to him, promising investments’ directions are plants for the solar panels’ output and biogas plants. In addition, a significant untapped potential has such a resource as garbage: the garbage processing makes it possible to substitute 1 milliard cubic meters of gas per year.
