Groisman: Ukraine can double agrarian output

As of last week, while on a working visit to the Ternopil region, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman said Ukraine can double its agricultural output lots, Ukrinform says referring to the Government report.
«We have good prospects for the growth of crops and the economy in general. The agrarian sector is growing. We can double our agricultural output,» Groisman stressed.
As to the report, Groisman reminded that the Government support programs, which are already yielding results, will contribute to the achievement of the goal. In particular, this concerns programs for boosting of the young stock, constructing new and expanding existing farms, and reducing the cost of technology.
At the same time, the PM admitted that the Government makes an emphasis within the agrarian sector today not only on the output boosting, but also on the deepening of processing and creating of the additional value within the country.
