As of today, while speaking within an hour of questions to the Government at the Verkhovna Rada, Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groisman has said the Government will provide a large-scale support to the the domestic agro-industrial complex, UN Radio reports.
«We are planning to launch large-scale programs to support the agricultural sector. Why? Because, within last year, the price for meat has faced highest growth among Ukrainian foods basket prices. Thus, as of last year, economic mismanagement led to the fact that we faced a serious problem - the African swine fever. Nobody struggled against this phenomenon before, but we have started to address this issue seriously,» Groisman admitted.
As to him, the Government has started allocating a serious investment support to the domestic individual economies.
«We will allocate UAH2,500 to every rural household for their livestock growing and UAH1,500 - for dairy cattle growing. Besides, we will do everything possible to assure that the Ukrainian agricultural equipment is sold on the domestic market rather than the imported one,» he told.
As to the report, Groisman is sure that all of that will contribute to the creation of new jobs and a real economic growth.
