BIOPEK key to sustainable energy development
04.04.2018 23:11 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of this week, the Volyn Regional State Administration has held a session of its Standing Committee on Budget, Finance and Price Policy, Ukrainian National Association of Sugar Producers says referring to Gnidavskiy sugar plant report.
As to the report, within the session, Deputy Head of the Volyn Regional State Administration Serghiy Kosharuk called the bioethanol plant, recently built at the Gnidavskiy sugar plant, a perspective and innovative company.
As to the report, while speaking about the regional innovative projects, which should be worked out, he also mentioned the BIOPEK Biofuels and Energy Company.
"Today, in Lutsk, a successful project - a bioethanol plant - has been implemented. The future belongs to such producers, since the waste of Gnidavskiy sugar plant - molasses - will be processed into bioethanol, or so-called «green fuel,» he said.
Kosharuk added the plant will start, in the long term, producing also the bio gas - which will become a pledge of the regional sustainable energy development.
As to the report, Kosharuk called for a special attention to be paid to the implementation and support of this project as it has great prospects.
