Astarta starts 2018 output season

As of this year early Mar, Astarta Agro-Industrial Holding has started its spring field works even despite the cold weather, Ukrainian National Association of Sugar Producers says referring to the Astarta press service report.
As to the report, within just few weeks, Astarta will start its spring sowing campaign. Traditionally, wheat, sugar beet, maize and soybeans will remain the Holding main crops in its crop rotation.
Reportedly, sugar beet sown areas will remain as large as of last year.
As to the report, within this year, while continuing its earlier projects on technical and IT support, Astarta develops its own integrated management system for agricultural output. Also, technologies for differential fertilizer application, field irrigation systems, GPS tracking technology and aggregates, centralization of fuel accounting and logistics of PPP (plant protection products) are working to assure the Holding efficiency improvement.
As of now, Astarta also begins preparing its sugar plant for the next season: the Holding performs the scheduled maintainace of its sugar plants’ equipment and premises and launches the sugar plants investment projects’ phased implementation. It is to be admitted, the largest investments within this segment are aimed at the beginning of the construction of a new bulk storage of sugar (at the Narkevitskiy Sugar Plant), establishment of a system of water treatment facilities (between the Globynskiy Sugar Plant, the bioenergy complex and the Globynskiy Soybeans Processing Plant) and setting of new beet pulp press-mills at several sugar plants.
