EU mission completed its work within Ukraine on estimation of poultry meat output State control system

As of today, within Ukraine, the European Commission Directorate General on Health and Food Safety
(DG SANTE) mission has completed its work on auditing the system of the Ukrainian State control over the domestic output of the poultry meat and poultry meat by-products intended for the EU export, Ukrainian State Service for Foods Safety and Consumer Protection reports.
As to the report, the mission has been working within Ukraine within this year Feb 27 - Mar 9.
As to the report, within the framework of their visit to Ukraine, the mission members met with the leadership and experts of the Ukrainian State Service for Foods Safety and Consumer Protection both at the central level and at the level of several main departments of the Service, within which they became acquainted with the functions and powers of the Service, incl. those concerning the adoption of the decisions on the export of the Ukrainian poultry meat products to EU.
Also, the mission members visited the central laboratory of the Ukrainian State Research Institute for the Laboratory Diagnostics, Veterinary and Sanitary Expertise (Kyiv), examined the activities of a number of the Ukrainian poultry meat output/processing companies and poultry slaughter shops.
As to the report, the mission is going to make a report (within a month time) on the results of its work. The Service will be able to add its comments to the report. After that, the report will be published on the DG SANTE website.
