DPZKU launches spring forward campaign
13.02.2018 18:11 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of this year Feb 12, the DPZKU (Ukrainian State Food and Grains Corporation) launched a spring purchase program for winter/spring grains (2018 crop). In order to support domestic agricultural producers, the DPZKU, within the framework of spring forward, is going to provide an almost UAH1.5 milliard advance payment to them, Ukrainian Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food reports.
As to the report, the purchase program includes wheat, barley, maize and oats. The agrarians can receive all the documents necessary to make sale contracts for their future grains crop within the DPZKU regional departments.
It is to be admitted, this year the DPZKU is going to carry out its spring forward campaign, traditionally, within two stages. Thus, within the first stage, agrarians are required to submit applications for participation within the program to the regional offices of the DPZKU, compile the required package of documents and make grains sale contracts at the DPZKU central office. Then, after an agrarian sign a contract with the DPZKU, a preliminary payment (UAH3,000 per 1 ton grains) is transferred to the agrarian current account. The cost of financing will not exceed 11% per annum.
Then, the second stage of the forward program stipulates that the agrarian must sale the harvested grains (with quantity and quality complying with the terms of the contracts) to the DPZKU department and the DPZKU makes a final payment (in the form of the second tranche).
