Companies contracted UAH3 mn 2006 grain on Agrarian Exchange

24.07.2006 11:44 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) — As of Jul 21, 2006 traders have registered 2006 crop grain sale-purchase contracts for total UAH3 mn on Ukrainian Agrarian Exchange Market, reported Oleksandr Polinskiy, Exchange Director.

As to Polinskiy, export-orientated companies have also registered external economic sale-purchase contracts for 2006 grain 97,000 MT.

As to Volodymyr Yashchuk, Regional Development Department Chief, companies are selling mainly 3/4 classes wheat, barley, peas and rape on Exchange.

As earlier reported, Ministry of Agrarian Policy with its Decree № 282 from Jun 7, 2006 had grown 3 class wheat minimal purchase price to UAH700 per MT for 2006/07 MY (Jul/06-Jun/07), up against UAH690 per MT in 2005/06 MY.

Ministry as well established Group A 1 class rye minimal purchase price as much as UAH540 per MT (maximal — UAH600 per MT); Group A 2 class rye minimal purchase price was fixed UAH500 per MT (maximal — UAH555 per MT).
