Exporters registered 2006 grain 97,000 MT shipments contracts on Agrarian Exchange
24.07.2006 11:22 "Agro Perspectiva" (Kyiv) —
As of Jul 21, 2006 export-orientated companies have registered external economic sale-purchase contracts for 97,000 MT 2006 crop grain on Ukrainian Agrarian Exchange Market, reported Oleksandr Polinskiy, Exchange Director. As to Polinskiy, still more 185 applications for grain external economic contracts registration have been recently submitted to Exchange. «As of now, Ukrainian southern regions as well as Kirovograd, Poltava and Cherkassy regions are working on Exchange most actively. Upon whole, companies are selling mainly 3/4 classes wheat, barley, peas and rape,» admitted Volodymyr Yashchuk, Regional Development Department Chief. As earlier reported, Ministry of Agrarian Policy with its Decree № 366 from Jul 10, 2006 had stipulated all grain export contracts to be obligatory registered on Agrarian Exchange Market (subordinate to Agrarian Fund). As to Decree, grain holders may sell their grain on any of Ukrainian agrarian exchanges, yet in case if grain is to be brought out from Ukraine, grain sale contracts should be obligatory registered on Agrarian Exchange.
