Poroshenko met with World Bank Group President

As of yesterday, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko held a meeting with President of the World Bank Group Jim Yong Kim, President Petro Poroshenko Press Office reports.
As to the report, the parties discussed the implementation of the Ukrainian structural reforms.
«We are decisive to continue reforms in Ukraine,» the Head of State assured.
As to the report, the Ukrainian President told the interlocutor about the implementation of the judicial reform, particularly the formation of the new composition of the Supreme Court and the creation of the Anti-Corruption Court.
Reportedly, Poroshenko also noted that important laws regarding the education, pension and healthcare reforms had been adopted in autumn.
As to the report, the parties paid special attention to the implementation of the healthcare reform in Ukraine, particularly its component on the development of medicine in rural areas with the use of telemedicine. The President of the World Bank Group praised the Ukrainian Parliament successful approval of the reform-oriented law on rural medicine.
Reportedly, Poroshenko urged the President of the World Bank Group to take under his patronage the assistance in the implementation of the component of the healthcare reform to provide the rural population of Ukraine with the medical services of the proper level. Jim Yong Kim promised to do everything possible to financially and technically support the implementation of reforms in the medical and education sectors.
It is to be admitted, the World Bank Group President highly evaluated the Ukrainian reforms’ implementation. «I am optimistic about the future of Ukraine,» he said.
