As of yesterday, while on a working visit to Poland to attend the conference of parliamentary traditions of Central and Eastern Europe (Subcarpathian Voivodeship), Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andriy Parubiy said he hopes that the construction of four more border checkpoints between Ukraine and Poland will become a new stage of cooperation between the two countries and will help further strengthen bilateral relations, Ukrinform reports.
«We also agreed today that the next stage will be four more border crossing points, one of them in Zakarpattia region, two more in Lviv region - Lopushanka and Boberka, and one more point in Volyn region - Adamchuky. We will do our best to implement this ambitious program as soon as possible,» Parubiy said.
As to him, the general concept of cooperation within this area is a radical boost of the border checkpoints’ number.
He also noted the importance of completing reconstruction work at the Krakovets and Shehyni checkpoints. «This is a commitment of Ukraine - which, I am convinced, we will be able to fulfill next year,» Parubiy added.
