Investment into Ukraine: Gov preparing five new projects

The Ukrainian Government is preparing five new projects with the support of international financial institutions, including the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and the European Investment Bank (EIB), UNIAN says referring to the Ukrainian Finance Ministry report.
As to the report, a US$150 million long-term financing project with the World Bank is aimed at financing the investment and innovative private-sector development projects. Besides, a project to extend the third Kharkiv metro line involves an investment of EUR150 million from the EBRD and EUR154.5 million from the European Investment Bank.
Moreover, the Finance Ministry together with the Ministry of Education and Science are developing a project worth EUR108 million on higher education of Ukraine with the participation of the European Investment Bank.
In addition, there are two projects with involvement of the EIB: the Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Ministry project on the construction of Kaniv pumped storage power plant (EUR400 million) and the Ukrainian Infrastructure Ministry project on modernization of the Ukrainian railway (EUR150 million).
