Bad weather leaves 478 Ukrainian towns, villages without electricity

In total 478 towns and villages within six Ukrainian regions have been left without electricity as a result of adverse weather conditions, Ukrinform says referring to the Ukrainian State Emergency Service report.
«As of Sept 1718, bad weather conditions (rain, thunderstorm, wind gusts) caused blackouts within 478 populated areas within six Ukrainian regions, particularly, 187 villages and towns within Khmelnytsky, 114 within Ternopil, 73 within Chernivtsi, 70 within Ivano-Frankivsk, 33 within Zakarpattia and 1 within Dnipropetrovsk regions,» the report reads.
As to the report, 71 emergency teams of Oblenergo have started to conduct the necessary repairs to resume the country electricity supply.
